Tangible Awareness Landscapes

Event-driven notification devices built out of junk. Conceived to provide a physical presence, or proxy, for remotely-located users. Interaction was via a simple web-based interface with buttons to enable remote users to activate devices in the office, thus drawing attention to their ‘presence’.

The term ‘tangible awareness landscape’ was coined by our colleague Ramesh Ramloll (now CEO at Deep Semaphore LLC)
